Greenwich, CT | Merchant Banking, M&A & Principal Investing
Our client, a boutique Merchant Bank based in Greenwich, Connecticut, is seeking two Associates to join its growing team.
This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside senior bankers and investors on live M&A transactions, strategic advisory mandates, and a differentiated merchant banking platform that includes a principal-backed SPAC initiative focused on identifying, acquiring, and building businesses at the intersection of National Security, Government Technology, and Commercial Technology
.
- Support execution of live M&A transactions and strategic advisory engagements
- Build and maintain complex financial models and valuation analyses
- Prepare client presentations, investment committee materials, and marketing documents
- Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research
- Participate in due diligence processes and transaction execution
- Evaluate investment opportunities within the firm's merchant banking and SPAC platform
- Work directly with senior executives, founders, and management teams
- Direct exposure from day one – Work closely with Partners, CEOs, and senior decision-makers.
- Diverse transaction experience – Gain exposure to middle-market sell-side engagements as well as select headline transactions, including mandates such as Motorola Solutions' acquisition of Silvus Technologies.
- True merchant banking model – Participate in both advisory assignments and principal investing opportunities.
- Meaningful responsibility early – Take ownership of substantive work streams rather than spending years focused solely on process management and presentations.
- Entrepreneurial platform – The firm's vision is inspired by the M. Klein & Co. model and the highly successful Churchill Capital SPAC franchise, creating an environment that blends investment banking, investing, and company building.
- 1-4 years of investment banking, transaction advisory, private equity, valuation, or related experience preferred at the associate level
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- High intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn from experienced deal makers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in National Security, Government Technology, and Commercial Technology sectors is a plus
