- Lead the end-to-end valuation process, including fair value determinations, valuation committee materials, governance, and escalation of complex valuation matters.
- Drive valuation strategy and process improvements, strengthening controls, documentation, scalability, and efficiency across asset classes and investment vehicles.
- Evaluate complex and illiquid investments, applying independent technical judgment to valuation methodologies, assumptions, models, unobservable inputs, pricing exceptions, and third-party pricing.
- Oversee valuation vendors and service providers, including due diligence, methodology review, ongoing monitoring, price challenges, and performance accountability.
- Ensure regulatory and audit readiness, including compliance with SEC Rule 2a-5 and UCITS, robust valuation documentation, and coordination with auditors on methodologies, assumptions, and controls.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in pricing, valuation, fund accounting, or investment/portfolio operations within an asset manager, hedge fund, or similar investment environment, with direct ownership of daily pricing, NAV/P&L support, exceptions, and valuation controls.
