About The TeamThe Operations team supports the firm's trading, investment, and reporting activities. They ensure scalable investment workflows, a controlled operating environment, and high-quality client service. The team also contributes to firm-wide projects, operational due diligence, and client-related activities.
Role OverviewThis position is within the Security Valuation group, overseeing valuation functions across various fund structures. The role ensures timely, accurate valuations that comply with regulatory standards. It involves independent judgment, accountability, and collaboration with functions like fund treasury, risk, compliance, and legal.
- Manage end-to-end valuation processes, including governance and fair value determinations.
- Develop valuation strategies and improve processes for scalability and control.
- Engage in daily valuation activities, assessing complex positions and pricing exceptions.
- Evaluate valuation methods and support well-reasoned conclusions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain a robust control framework.
- Oversee third-party service providers, focusing on quality and transparency.
- Identify valuation risks and implement enhancements for effectiveness.
- Collaborate with auditors on valuation matters and methodology reviews.
- Design and oversee complex valuation models in line with industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic environment.
- Expertise in valuation methodologies and ability to evaluate models and inputs.
- Understanding of corporate actions and their impact on valuations.
- Knowledge of derivatives and valuation setup requirements.
- Experience with complex valuation models and regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with SEC Rule 2a-5 and UCITS preferred.
- Ability to make independent decisions in complex scenarios.
- Experience with auditors and third-party service providers.
- Attention to detail, organization, and risk management focus.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Python, Bloomberg, and related tools.
