IT Manager - Family Office

Hudson Gate Partners is in search of a Technology Support Consultant to lead and modernize technology operations across a complex, multi-entity family office environment. This hands-on leadership role sits at the intersection of technology strategy, cybersecurity, MSP oversight, and executive support. The ideal candidate is a strong technology generalist who is equally comfortable developing long-term strategy and as he/she is in solving day-to-day technology challenges and needs of the family.

You will serve as the primary owner of the technology ecosystem across several distinct business entities, each with its own infrastructure, email environment, and operational needs. This role will initially focus heavily on technology modernization and implementation initiatives, with the opportunity to evolve into a long-term technology leadership position as the organization grows and its needs continue to evolve.

• Own and execute the technology roadmap across all family office entities.
• Develop prioritized recommendations to improve security, efficiency, scalability, and end-user experience.
• Lead implementation efforts across infrastructure, productivity platforms, identity management, and cybersecurity.
• Evaluate and implement practical AI and automation solutions, including agentic AI platforms, to improve productivity and operations.
• Evaluate the current MSP relationship and broader vendor landscape from day one, including requirements gathering, diligence, selection, transition planning, and ongoing management.
• Provide high-touch support to executives and staff, in-person and remotely.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain laptops, mobile devices, workstations and related technology.
• Support executive travel and remote access needs.

• 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with demonstrated strength as a technology generalist in lean, high-touch environments.
• Experience supporting a family office, investment firm, or comparably confidential, high-touch organization.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, identity management, endpoint management, and cloud-based technologies.
• Experience leading technology modernization efforts across infrastructure, productivity platforms, identity systems, and cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating, selecting, and managing MSPs and external technology vendors.
• Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices: SSO, MFA, endpoint protection, access controls, and related security controls.
• Familiarity with AI tools, automation, and emerging technology trends, with a track record of translating them into practical business value.

Position is based Old Greenwich, CT office. Expected contract duration 12+ months.
