We are seeking an experienced Chemist / Production Manager to oversee laboratory operations and manufacturing processes while ensuring product quality, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This leadership role combines technical expertise with production management, driving process improvements, supporting product development, and leading cross‑functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Position Responsibilities Production Management
  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Develop production schedules and allocate resources to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Laboratory & Product Development
  • Lead laboratory activities related to product formulation, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Support the development and optimization of new and existing products.
  • Analyze test results and recommend process or formulation improvements.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and technical records.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Implement quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable industry regulations and best practices.
Team Leadership
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop laboratory and production personnel.
  • Establish performance goals and provide coaching and professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative, safety‑focused, and results‑oriented work environment.
  • Coordinate activities across production, quality, engineering, and operations teams.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize production workflows and reduce operational costs.
  • Support equipment upgrades and process automation projects.
Inventory & Resource Management
  • Monitor raw material usage and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate purchasing requirements with supply chain and procurement teams.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of chemicals and production materials.
  • Support accurate production planning and inventory control.
Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Several years of experience in chemical manufacturing, laboratory operations, or production management.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical processing, laboratory procedures, and quality systems.
  • Experience with production planning, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing or ERP software.
  • Thorough understanding of workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
  • Certified Chemical Professional (CCP)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • OSHA Safety Certification
  • Quality Management Certification (ISO 9001 or related)
