Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Evening Shift | Full-Time
Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, located in New Haven, CT is actively hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for the evening shift, for our Skilled Nursing Facility. We are seeking an experienced RN to oversee all aspects of a unit/floor, from supervising nursing staff to monitoring patient care. Extensive clinical experience a must, prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all nursing services personnel are following their respective job descriptionsMaintain patient confidence and protect operations by monitoring confidential information processingProvide information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requestsComplete patient care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing and staff; following up on work resultsPerform walking rounds to ensure nursing staff are providing the highest level of resident care possibleAssess residents upon admission and periodically as conditions changeObtain and implement Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completenessCommunicate between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient conditionsParticipate in Facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing ServicesPlan, implement and evaluate the clinical competencies and ongoing educational/orientation needs of the staffEnsure that a sufficient number of nursing staff is available for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintainedQualifications:
Must have current CT RN licenseExperience in Long Term Care is a plusMust have supervisory experienceMust have excellent leadership and communication skills
