We are the Stanton House Inn, a historic boutique inn located in Greenwich, Connecticut. Our team is dedicated to providing warm, personalized hospitality and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile.
Position OverviewFriendly and dedicated waiter and bartender to serve drinks, take food orders, and perform light cooking and food prep. Mixology skills are a plus; training will be provided.
Responsibilities- Welcome guests, take drink orders, and recommend menu items.
- Deliver food orders accurately and attend to guest needs with courtesy.
- Use point‑of‑sale system to input orders, process payments, and manage bills.
- Prepare basic food items for guests as they are ordered.
- Work with front‑desk staff to coordinate food and drink service and ensure timely delivery.
- Familiarize yourself with the alcohol menu and ingredients to assist guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the bar area, stocking glassware, garnishes, and beverages.
- Adhere to hygiene and safety guidelines for food and beverage handling.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Participate in training to expand knowledge of beverage and food offerings.
- Previous experience as a waiter or bartender is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Interest in cocktail preparation and willingness to learn basic cocktails.
- Strong customer service orientation with a personable and approachable attitude.
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage yourself.
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills.
- Basic understanding of point‑of‑sale systems and cash handling.
- Adaptability and a positive attitude, especially during peak hours.
- Responsible alcohol service.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Full‑time. Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour.

LocationIn person at Stanton House Inn, Greenwich, CT. The inn is not ADA compliant; the position requires the ability to climb stairs.
