WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR A FULL TIME SALES SUPERVISOR FOR OUR GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT LOCATION
We are looking for a sales‑driven, leadership‑oriented Sales Supervisor to manage our store and lead a high‑performance team. The role involves achieving individual sales goals while setting an example in customer service and maintaining the brand vision.
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITIONThe Sales Supervisor is responsible for meeting personal sales targets while being the lead member of the store team in the absence of Store Management. The position requires upholding store standards, brand values, and exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership- Lead by example in exceptional customer service and store standards
- Conduct oneself as a James Perse brand ambassador
- Assist Store Management in driving and motivating the team to achieve and exceed sales goals and store KPIs
- Consistently represent and reinforce company standards and policies
- Demonstrate expertise in product knowledge, company history, and brand values
- Identify opportunities in product, sales, and team development and strategically present ideas and solutions to Store Management
- Show local market knowledge of clientele base and brand competitors
- Aware of business trends that relate to the success of the store
- Clearly articulate ideas and tailor approach to audience
- Establish clear direction and gain the respect of the store team
- Suggest appropriate partnerships in the local community
- Contribute to and create an overall positive atmosphere in the store
- Collaborate with other colleagues to achieve business objectives
- Communicate pertinent information gathered from customers to Store Management
- Achieve and exceed individual sales goal and company KPIs (UPT, ADT, etc.)
- Ensure customers are a number one store priority
- Assist sales associates in suggesting additional merchandise to clients
- Apply suggestive selling through styling and product knowledge of luxury furniture industry
- Incorporate James Perse lifestyle into the selling ceremony
- Build and develop client base consistently
- Schedule client appointments
- Network proactively to build clientele base
- Warmly greet all customers with a sincere welcome
- Assist Store Management in ensuring that the store staff consistently prioritizes the customer’s experience
- Facilitate consignments and client appointments based on customers’ needs and requests
- Elevate the level of customer service to set the James Perse brand apart from competitors
- Support staff in creatively individualizing the customer experience
- Encourage collaboration among all team members
- Ensure all aspects of the business are managed and maintained in the absence of Store Management
- Conduct store meetings (e.g., morning meetings) when Store Management is absent
- Resolve customer issues and/or complaints satisfactorily
- Ensure that the sales floor is appropriately covered
- Ensure that staff’s floor presence appropriately represents the James Perse brand
- Assist Store Management in recruitment to source exceptional talent for the brand
- Assist in onboarding new staff members and ongoing training of existing staff
- Support Store Management in clearly articulating company expectations to staff
- Follow up and monitor staff in achievement of goals
- Hold staff accountable through coaching and counseling in partnership with Store Management
- Open and close the store and oversee all related procedures
- Maintain store standards (cleanliness, maintenance, etc.)
- Manage inventory
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently upheld
- Assist store team in merchandise movement (transfer, charge‑outs, etc.)
- Ensure staff participates in floor replenishment and back‑stock maintenance
- Prior experience in a retail luxury store dealing with high‑end goods and clientele‑oriented sales
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Experience with retail system such as Teamwork
- Ideally a cultivated and established clientele following
- Ability to relocate is preferable for career development opportunities
