Summary
Position located within Commander, Mid‑Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program. The role assists higher grade mechanics in maintaining and repairing all bowling and facility electrical, mechanical and computerized equipment.
Duties- Install, repair, maintain, adjust, overhaul and regularly inspect all bowling facility electrical, mechanical and computerized equipment, including but not limited to automatic pinsetters, ball returns, speed cradle stops, telescore units, ball cleaners, lane maintenance machines, hole borers, and related components.
- Establish a regular preventive maintenance schedule according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Diagnose malfunctioning equipment using manufacturer diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters and feeler gauges; inspect bowling lanes and approaches daily.
- Oversee the work of one or more lower graded workers engaged in minor repair, cleaning or lubrication tasks, informing them of operation and maintenance changes.
- Maintain required records and reports; conduct daily fire and safety inspections.
- Pass all applicable background checks.
- Successfully pass the E‑Verify employment verification check, resolving any discrepancies.
- Starting May 7, 2025, non‑affiliated individuals requesting access will need a REAL ‑compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical/electronic principles and operating characteristics of bowling equipment, with ability to locate malfunctions through visual, operational, audio and test‑equipment checks.
- Knowledge of parts, components and assemblies of bowling equipment.
- Successful completion of an AMF mechanic course strongly preferred (not required).
- Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams and manufacturer service manuals.
No positive education requirement.
