Data Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable SQL pipelines for collecting, processing and storing large volumes of financial data using technologies such as Snowflake, dbt and Workato;
• Write optimized SQL queries and stored procedures for data retrieval and analysis;
• Manage policies and processes for data governance and data quality;
• Create and maintain documentation for data process, data lineage and data dictionaries;
• Build dashboards using visualization tools such a Power BI; and
• Stay up to date on trends, best practices, and emerging technologies across the data engineering space and integrate into the platform where applicable.

• Self-motivated problem-solver with strong relationship building skills;
• Extensive experience in database design and SQL development;
• In-depth understanding of Snowflake architecture, performance tuning and cost optimization strategies;
• Strong familiarity with modern data orchestration tools, preferably dbt, Workato;
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and database design principles;
• Experience working with financial data; and
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
