Full Stack Developer, Software Engineer, Backend Developer
Our client, a global fintech leader, is seeking several Full Stack Engineers (Assistant Vice President level) to join their growing teams in New York City or Greenwich, CT. This is an opportunity to design, develop, and enhance enterprise SaaS products using Ruby on Rails and React within a collaborative environment. The role will work closely with product managers and engineering peers throughout the software development lifecycle.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities- Full stack web development with React (front end) and Ruby on Rails (back end)
- Collaborate with product management to clarify requirements and resolve issues throughout the SDLC
- Apply strong system design and architecture skills; participate in architecture and technical design reviews
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in peer code reviews
- Participate in daily stand-ups and Agile team ceremonies
- Ownership of enhancements, new features, and defect resolution as part of the team’s SDLC
- Contribute to test automation for both front-end and back-end (e.g., RSpec, Cucumber)
- Support cloud-native development using modern tools and platforms
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, building enterprise SaaS/cloud-based solutions
- 3+ years professional experience with Ruby on Rails
- 2+ years test automation experience (front-end and back-end; RSpec, Cucumber, or similar)
- Technical leadership/mentoring experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and modeling
- Familiarity with cloud and container technologies (Kubernetes, AWS, etc.)
- Experience working in Agile or Kanban product teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing group
