Senior Java Software Engineer

Our client is a well established financial services client that has outstanding employee tenure and promotes from within. Due to growth they are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain their platform that provides third parties, clients, and client-facing applications with access to highly critical, real-time services required for day-to-day operations. The Senior Developer will design and implement new features and interfaces, write documentation units, handle regression tests and write backend services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java based platform, which currently provides third Parties, clients, and our client-facing applications with access to highly critical, real-time services required for day-to-day operations
• You will work with business and internal teams, adding new features and interfaces as required.
• You will write documentation units and regression tests for new interfaces.
• You will write backend services and/or clients that will help expose internal services.
• You will provide third-level support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer with expertise in Java, Spring, Vert.x
• Proficiency in using Git version control for code management and collaboration.
• Strong command of RESTful web services and experience in designing and implementing them.
• Experience with JUnit or other testing frameworks for writing unit and integration tests.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.
• Experience with Web Sockets and real-time communication in a Java-based environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the industry
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) is a plus.
• Previous experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
