Project Coordinator

Are you looking for a firm where you are provided the opportunity to be included in every stage of a project from conceptual design through construction? Do you feel pigeonholed in your current position and you aren’t getting the experience you need to grow as an Architect? Meeting with clients, coordinating with Engineers, & working with General Contractors is encouraged at GEM Studio.

Are you tired of working on the same types of projects? We have a wide variety of work and don’t specialize in any certain project type. Our project experience includes new build and renovations of the following project types: hospitality, restaurants, industrial, multi-family, retail, medical, office, government, K-12 education, higher education, and recreation. Project scales vary from $100,000 to $ construction cost.

Job Description

Have an entrepreneurial spirit to help the firm grow into the future. Develop conceptual imagery, schematic layouts, and overall aesthetics to exceed client expectations. Creativity, organization and attention to detail are highly desirable. Develop 2D & 3D color presentations & renderings for client review. Develop construction documents per company standards. Learn company standards and help new employees onboard as the firm grows.

Collaborate with team members & our Consultants during design and work with General Contractors during construction to ensure projects are built in compliance with contract documents. Field verify existing conditions and develop accurate existing as-builts for use during design for renovation projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • 1-4 years of professional experience in commercial architecture, retail, restaurant, multi-family, hospitality, & industrial markets.
  • NCARB certified or desire to be certified in the future a plus.
  • Proficient in Revit, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Autodesk Connecter Cloud, & Microsoft 360.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with other team members.
