Merrick & Company is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Senior Water Wastewater Project Manager position in our Denver, Greenwood Village, Colorado Springs, or Loveland, Colorado offices. This position requires an experienced project manager with a successful track record of winning and delivering projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO- Manage and direct multi-discipline teams of design engineers or technicians on water and wastewater projects.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the team, working closely with management to identify growth opportunities, project delivery strategies, staffing needs, and financial performance.
- Adopt and apply all Merrick policies and procedures on assignments.
- Work closely with clients to clearly define and deliver project scope of work.
- Prepare and oversee fee proposals for water and wastewater design work.
- Lead design teams, perform independent planning and design tasks, review designs, prepare construction documents, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Exercise initiative, judgment, and knowledge appropriate to the responsibilities of the role.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with clients and community members.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of water treatment, conveyance, wastewater treatment, conveyance, and related infrastructure.
- Experience with design, applying state and federal regulations, and some construction observation experience are preferred.
- Proven success in business development, project management, managing schedules and budgets for complex civil engineering projects, and working effectively within multi-discipline teams.
- Proficiency in client development, proposal preparation, and conducting interviews;
Idaho experience is a plus but not required. - Manage design teams, including engineers, CAD technicians, and subconsultants.
- Build positive relationships with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Perform independent design tasks, peer reviews, prepare construction documents, cost estimates, and organize project deliverables.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed team members is desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T.
-accredited institution. - 20+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, with 15+ years in project management.
- Colorado Professional Engineering (PE) license.
- Strong technical design experience in water and wastewater projects.
- Successful project delivery record.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, insurable under Merrick’s policy.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel.
- Master’s degree in engineering preferred, but successful project experience can suffice.
- Envision (ENV SP) credential from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure is a plus.
