Construction Manager

The primary role of a Construction Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in various fields such as engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product rollout.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to achieve goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
  • Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence.
  • Analyze technology resource needs and market demand to plan and assess project feasibility.
  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
  • Manage and oversee contracted construction activities on-site daily.
Essential Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, P6 Primavera, etc.
  • Ability to oversee and manage general contractors, subcontractors, and sub-tier trades, ensuring timely project completion and recommending mitigations as needed.
  • Understanding of the construction design process, including RFIs, submittals, and change requests.
  • Project safety oversight, aiming for a Total Recordable Injury Rate of 0.2, with a goal of zero recordables and zero safety incidents.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in overseeing large civil projects, including land clearing and preparation for building construction activities.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
  • 10 years of experience required.
  • OSHA 30-hour training.
Work Environment

The position is onsite, full-time, focused on land development in Aurora, CO.

This is a Contract position based out of Greenwood Village, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $74.00 - $84.00/hr.
