Construction Manager
The primary role of a Construction Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in various fields such as engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product rollout.
Responsibilities- Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to achieve goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Analyze technology resource needs and market demand to plan and assess project feasibility.
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
- Manage and oversee contracted construction activities on-site daily.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
- Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, P6 Primavera, etc.
- Ability to oversee and manage general contractors, subcontractors, and sub-tier trades, ensuring timely project completion and recommending mitigations as needed.
- Understanding of the construction design process, including RFIs, submittals, and change requests.
- Project safety oversight, aiming for a Total Recordable Injury Rate of 0.2, with a goal of zero recordables and zero safety incidents.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in overseeing large civil projects, including land clearing and preparation for building construction activities.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.
- 10 years of experience required.
- OSHA 30-hour training.
The position is onsite, full-time, focused on land development in Aurora, CO.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Greenwood Village, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $74.00 - $84.00/hr.
