POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is a multi-purpose position. The primary purpose is to provide leadership of discipline engineers and designers in the design decision making process with respect to technical compliance and best practices. The secondary purpose is to ensure compliance with respect to project scope, budget and scheduling when performing as a Project Lead Discipline Engineer. The third purpose of this position is to provide a liaison between Discipline Engineers, Project Managers and the Chief Discipline Engineer regarding the course of specific projects with respect to the discipline.

Brief Description:

• Familiarity with design engineering and drawing production programs and software.
• Familiarity with understanding scop[e] change control process and can identify most scope changes
• Conforms to core values and assists others to adhere to them. Ensures quality and completeness of engineering functions.
• Ability to support proposals and manhour estimation

• Sr. Civil Engineer III – Fully understands work sequence, general content, and methods used to generate all required project discipline documents.
• Sr. Civil Engineer III – Thorough grasp of applicable codes and regulatory requirements.
• Sr. Civil Engineer III – Understands and scope change control process and can identify scope changes easily.

• Sr. Civil Engineer II – Plan, schedule and conducts detailed discipline engineering work with other disciplines.
• Sr. Civil Engineer II – Prepares and submits periodic reports and forecasts specific to project requirements.
• Sr. Civil Engineer II – Coordinates the discipline’s engineering with that of the other disciplines. Directs and assigns the preparation of all discipline design drawings and specifications required for a project to those discipline personnel assigned to the project.

• Sr. Civil Engineer I – Assume “in-charge” responsibility and technical compliance with all codes, laws and regulations associated with a Professional Engineers role.
• Sr. Civil Engineer I – Establishes schedules, budgets and scope documents to meet project requirements compatible with Customer’s and Company’s objectives.

• Sr. Civil Engineer IV – Bachelor’s Degree/Continuing Education; PE license expected; ten (10) years experience
• Sr. Civil Engineer III – Bachelor’s Degree/Continuing Education; PE license; twelve (12) years experience
• Sr. Civil Engineer II – Bachelor’s Degree/Continuing Education; PE license; fourteen (14) years experience
• Sr. Civil Engineer I - Bachelor’s Degree/Continuing Education; PE license; fifteen (15) years experience

Compensation for this role is determined based on a variety of factors including each candidate’s relevant experience, industry background, education, and demonstrated skills.
