About the Role
Be part of a dynamic team designing the infrastructure that supports thriving communities. In this role, you’ll contribute to a wide range of civil projects—collaborating with engineers and clients to develop site layouts, utility systems, and roadway designs while producing detailed plans in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. You’ll gain hands‑on experience with calculations, permitting, and technical documentation, playing an important role in delivering high‑quality solutions for public and private developments.
Responsibilities
- Comprehension of engineering principles, codes, and standards in civil design, including site layout, grading, erosion control, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer, roadway, and fueling design.
- Possesses basic technical writing skills needed for civil reports and letters.
- Ability to work within your own team as well as other internal teams and clients.
- Draft plans using AutoCAD and Civil3D software.
- Adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow operations through a detailed processes.
- Assist in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multifamily developments, and public works projects.
- Participate in the preparation of calculations, such as storm drain, wastewater, water system, earthwork quantities, transportation, cost estimates, and other supporting documentation for public and private projects.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor of Engineering from a four‑year, board‑approved engineering curriculum.
Experience
- Typically, 1‑4 years of experience.
- Possesses Engineering Intern certification or can take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam within six months of hire.
The estimated starting base salary for this role is $64,000‑$78,000.
