Summer Electrical Engineer Intern - Renewables

The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Engineering Interns to join our Renewables team for the 2027 summer season. This internship provides hands‑on experience supporting electrical engineering projects while working alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals. The intern will assist with engineering calculations, drawings, design studies, and other project deliverables supporting renewable energy projects.

• Support electrical engineers and engineering technicians on renewable energy projects
• Assist with electrical engineering calculations, drawings, design studies, and technical documentation
• Learn and utilize engineering software such as CAD, Easy Power, ETAP, and PSS®E to support electrical system design and analysis
• Compile and analyze technical data to support engineering evaluations and project deliverables
• Collaborate with project teams and other internal resources to support client needs
• Gain exposure to client interaction and, where appropriate, marketing, sales, and business development activities

• Hands‑on experience supporting real‑world renewable energy projects
• Exposure to electrical power system design, analysis, and engineering studies
• Experience with industry‑standard electrical engineering software and tools
• Mentorship and guidance from experienced electrical engineers and technical professionals
• An understanding of how engineering teams collaborate to deliver solutions for clients

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with at least two years of coursework completed
• Prior experience or coursework in electrical power systems is a strong plus
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be able to work full‑time during Summer 2027
• Potential to continue internship through the school year based on performance and business needs
• Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $28-$30/hr. *

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
