Position Summary
The Design Drafter is responsible for creating and maintaining 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D (Revit) drawings in accordance with ISEC standards for both planned projects and fast-turn requests. The position supports the Construction and Science & Technology branches of Engineering through the development of submittal drawings, installation drawings, presentation models, schedules, takeoffs, and project documentation. This role works closely with Operations, Project Managers, Engineering leadership, and outsourced engineering resources to ensure accurate and timely project execution.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Create and revise submittal, fabrication, and installation drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Develop project details in accordance with project scope and customer requirements.
- Produce drawings and revisions utilizing AutoCAD and Revit.
- Execute fast-turnaround drawing requests and project revisions.
- Assist Operations with Design Assist layouts and floor plan reviews.
- Create Revit-based models supporting project and sales initiatives.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings and coordination activities.
