Typical schedules are in-office Monday through Friday. Remote and flexible scheduling may be discussed upon hire and with supervisor approval.

This position is located in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Relocation assistance is not provided.

As a Project Manager I/II, you will provide vital engineering expertise to support transportation, drainage, parks, and construction initiatives throughout Greenwood Village. You’ll manage capital improvement projects from concept through completion, perform engineering studies, analyze data, review plans, conduct inspections, collaborate with contractors and engineers, support residents, and ensure that infrastructure improvements meet City standards for safety, functionality, and environmental stewardship.

The Project Manager position is offered at two levels:

Project Manager I:
An entry-level professional engineering role suitable for candidates with foundational knowledge and limited or no directly related experience.

Project Manager II: A journey‑level engineering role responsible for the full spectrum of complex engineering duties, project management responsibilities, and independent work within assigned programs.

• Conducts engineering studies on assigned projects; performs civil engineering cost analyses; prepares and/or reviews the adequacy and accuracy of computations, preliminary layouts and design work from field and survey data.
• Performs engineering design work, including researching data and determining design criteria in accordance with required standards and codes; prepares calculations, sketches, plans, specifications and estimates; develops designs either manually or using computer equipment.
• Reviews engineering and architectural drawings which involve drainage, parks, roads, utilities, and traffic control devices.
• Prepares engineering plans, charts, and graphs from rough design sketches and field notes obtained from engineering surveys.
• Collaborates and confers with engineers, architects, and contractors; provides information on City policies and procedures related to engineering; presents engineering analysis of technical issues to the public, City Council, and commissions.
• Performs field inspections to verify the accuracy of construction improvements.
• Manages contracts or projects by providing guidance and problem resolution; ensures proper field changes by reviewing field reports on installations for conformance to contracts, approved plans, agency regulations, and engineering and construction principles and standards; monitors schedules and contract change orders, costs, and regulatory compliance.
• May assist with the review of development applications, including civil plans, grading plans, preliminary plats, and final plats.
