* Job Description:
** The
** Imaging Front Desk Receptionist
** provides exceptional customer service to patients and staff and delivers essential administrative and front-office support for the imaging department with minimal supervision.

- ** Primary
Duties & Responsibilities *
* · Create a positive and professional first impression and ensure patients experience a welcoming, “we care” environment.
· Schedule in-house imaging appointments (e.g. PET and CT) and coordinate any required patient prep instructions.
· Ensure all required patient paperwork and imaging orders are compiled and ready for each day’s appointments.
· Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at check-in and enter payments into the daily batch within the Practice Management system.
· Review, verify, and enter patient demographics, insurance information, and clinical data into the EHR and Practice Management systems.
· Scan patient identification and insurance cards into the EMR system accurately.
· Confirm that all necessary referrals, prior authorizations, and imaging orders are obtained, scanned, and linked to the correct appointment.
· Reconcile payment batches daily and submit them to the Site Manager.
· Schedule follow-up imaging studies and coordinate any radiologist-directed procedures.
· Assist patients in completing digital registration or questionnaires (e.g., Phreesia or similar system).This job description is not intended to include all duties, responsibilities, or activities that may be required of the employee. - ** Qualifications*
* · High School Diploma or GED required.
· Minimum two (2) years of front office experience, preferably in a medical or imaging setting.
· 1–2 years of customer service experience required.

- ** Knowledge, Competencies & Skills*
* · Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn imaging workflows.
· Proficient knowledge of medical terminology; familiarity with common imaging terms is a plus.
· Understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred, especially imaging-related codes.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient computer, scheduling, and database skills.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
· Ability to ask clarifying questions to ensure accurate imaging scheduling and prep.
· Strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
· Effective multitasking and proactive problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.

**** Pay Range:** $18.50 - $21.00 per hour Actual compensation offered to candidates is based on work experience, education, skill level, and geographic location. Compensation may vary depending on the state or region in which the position is located, in accordance with applicable laws. This position has no close date.
