Role Overview We are seeking a mid-level to senior Network Engineer to join our technology operations team. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of a complex, multi-site enterprise network. The ideal candidate will have a proactive, results-oriented mindset, take initiative to solve problems, and adapt to sudden changes in priorities. This role requires working with an architect's perspective within a Cisco-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise campus and data center networks, including WAN connectivity.
* Architect and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions across routing, switching, and data center fabric platforms.
* Own the software-defined WAN (SD-WAN) infrastructure, including design, deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting.
* Administer next-generation firewalls, including policy configuration and threat defense.
* Implement and support VPN solutions, including remote access and site-to-site tunnels.
* Maintain network access control (NAC) using AAA frameworks like TACACS+ and RADIUS.
* Manage and optimize enterprise load balancers for application delivery.
* Provide escalation support for complex network incidents and participate in an on-call rotation.
* This person must be comfortable with a hybrid schedule, requiring onsite presence.

Required Qualifications
** Technical

Skills:

*** Proven expertise in implementing and working with SD-WAN architecture.
* Experience in a Cisco-centric shop, including Cisco routers and switches.
* Strong background in enterprise routing and switching (EIGRP, BGP, MPLS).
* Experience with firewalls and WiFi technologies, specifically Aruba Wireless and Clearpass.
* Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Azure Express Route).
* Deep experience with advanced routing concepts including route redistribution and VRF-Lite.
* Proficiency with network management and automation platforms.

* Soft Skills:

*** Must be adaptable and able to handle sudden changes and project pivots.
* Demonstrates a  go-getter  attitude, proactively taking action to resolve issues without waiting for direction.
* Collaborates effectively with internal partners to deliver reliable and secure network services.

Preferred Qualifications
* Active professional-level network engineering certification (e.g., CCNP in Enterprise, Security, or Data Center).
* Wireless networking professional certification (e.g., Aruba Certified Mobility Professional).
* Load balancer administration or consultant certification.
* Experience supporting mid-to-large enterprise environments with 500+ users.
* Experience with network monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Solar Winds, Logic Monitor, Thousand Eyes).
* Network automation experience using scripting or configuration management tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
