Job SummaryResponsible for special projects for maintenance as well as care and upkeep of all plumbing‑related items throughout the District.

Job Task Descriptions- Maintain water lines of septic tanks, disposal systems and lateral lines – Frequency:
Daily, 20% of time - Repairing and/or replacing plumbing fixtures including water closets, urinals, lavatories, classroom sinks and drinking fountains, sanitary lines, etc. – Frequency:
Daily, 20% of time - Complete work orders and requests as assigned and maintain a daily work log. Maintain vehicle in a clean and neat condition at all times. Mandatory participation in on‑call for department. – Frequency:
Daily, 15% of time - Complete overload work orders and special projects assigned by supervisor. – Frequency:
Monthly, 10% of time - General repairs and replacement of piping to food service equipment, grease traps, domestic hot water systems, water coolers, swimming pool pumps, heaters and filters. – Frequency:
Weekly, 10% of time - Adjust all plumbing to use the minimum quantity of water. – Frequency:
Annually, 5% of time - Follow up to ensure that all piping or plumbing and utility systems are repaired and/or replaced. – Frequency:
Annually, 5% of time - Maintain a stock of materials to repair emergency situations caused by breaking pipes, etc. – Frequency:
Annually, 5% of time - Assume supervisor duties when plumbing supervisor is not available. – Frequency:
Monthly, 5% of time - Perform other duties as assigned or requested. – Frequency:
Daily, 5% of time
Reporting Relationships
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
- High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
- Four (4) years of plumbing experience
- Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self Insurance Pool
- Colorado driver’s license
- Journeyman license
- Must obtain Certified Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention Device Tester within six (6) months of employment.
- Medium work strength level (lifting or carrying 50 pounds)
- Works both indoors and outdoors
- Typically a moderate noise level
- Work location is subject to change to meet the requirements of the organization
- Good motor skills – hand tools and machinery used daily
