• Support the complete software development life cycle for Charter's Video Delivery and Ad Placement projects.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain server‑/back‑end software solutions using Java, Java 7/8, J2EE, Spring, and related frameworks.
• Lead requirements gathering, design documentation (high‑ and low‑level designs, pseudocode), and design reviews.
• Architect and deploy large‑scale, fault‑tolerant, cloud‑based micro‑services on AWS, leveraging Spring Boot, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, and Document DB.
• Design and develop SOAP/REST micro‑services (Spring WS, Spring Boot), intranet web applications (GWT/GXT, Oracle, HTML/CSS/JSP), and batch processes (Unix Shell, PL/SQL).
• Maintain source control using GIT, SVN, or CVS, and perform CI/CD with Jenkins and Terraform.
• Apply object‑oriented design principles, produce database models, and implement relational (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and No
  
  SQL (Mongo, Document DB, DynamoDB, Redis) solutions.
• Promote event‑driven, cloud‑agnostic architectures using Java, Kafka, and the Netflix OSS suite (Hystrix, Zuul, Asgard).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• 5+ years designing and deploying cloud‑based micro‑services on AWS using Spring Boot.
• 3+ years experience with source control (GIT/SVN/CVS), Java back‑end development, object‑oriented design, database development, IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, Net Beans), CI/CD (Terraform, Jenkins), containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and event‑driven architecture (Kafka).
• Proficiency with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and No
