OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the redesign and modernization of a mission-critical data pipeline supporting high-visibility business initiatives.
This role will focus on re-architecting legacy ETL processes into scalable, efficient, and reliable data workflows. The data produced by this team is consumed by executive leadership and plays a key role in tracking large-scale infrastructure and product initiatives.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a full ETL rebuild, working in a highly impactful environment where accuracy, reliability, and performance are critical.
What You’ll Do- Lead the end-to-end re-architecture of legacy ETL pipelines
- Build and optimize data pipelines using Python as the primary language
- Redesign data flows to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance
- Develop modular, fault-tolerant architectures that eliminate single points of failure
- Ensure data quality and accuracy for executive-level reporting
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support reporting and analytics needs
- Work in a tool-agnostic environment, incorporating SQL and other technologies as needed
- 7–10+ years of experience in data engineering within enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in Python for building scalable data pipelines
- Proven experience rebuilding or modernizing legacy ETL processes
- Deep understanding of data architecture principles (scalability, modularity, reliability)
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data workflows
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and data transformation
- Experience designing systems where data accuracy and reliability are critical
- Ability to lead technical direction and work cross-functionally
- Experience working in tool-agnostic environments
- Familiarity with platforms such as Alteryx or similar tools
- Background supporting high-visibility or executive-level reporting systems
