A nationally recognized electrical construction contractor is seeking an experienced National Traveling Project Manager to lead large-scale projects across the United States.

This position will have full financial and operational responsibility for assigned projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, labor planning, billing, change management, and client relationships. The Project Manager will work closely with senior leadership, field operations, estimating, and business development to deliver safe, profitable, high-quality projects.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple electrical construction projects while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations.
Assume financial responsibility for assigned projects and accounts.
Develop initial project budgets in accordance with company procedures.
Review contracts and associated prime contracts before executive and legal approval.
Maintain monthly financial projections, project schedules, billings, and receivables.
Manage the procurement of project materials, equipment, subcontracts, and other project-related expenses.
Coordinate with labor management and field leadership to ensure appropriate staffing.
Lead project startup, kickoff, progress, and closeout meetings.
Prepare and maintain budgets, progress reports, change orders, schedules, and supporting project documentation.
Build strong client relationships and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify project risks and implement practical mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and jobsite safety requirements.
Improve project efficiency, execution, and profitability through best practices and process improvements.
Mentor and coach Assistant Project Managers.
Collaborate with business development and leadership to maintain existing accounts and develop new opportunities.
Estimate projects as needed for assigned clients and accounts.
Support project teams with platforms such as Accubid, COINS, and Autodesk Build.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; equivalent construction field or project office experience will also be considered.
At least four years of relevant electrical or commercial construction experience preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, labor, materials, subcontractors, billings, and change orders.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional, proactive, and organized approach to project management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Experience with Accubid, COINS, Autodesk Build, or similar construction-management software is preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively for long-term projects throughout the United States.
