Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Indianapolis, IN, seeking licensed teachers of record to support students across multiple special education settings. Candidates will work 35 hours per week throughout the full school year, starting as soon as possible. This role offers multiple openings within elementary and developmental preschool classrooms, providing a dynamic and rewarding environment focused on diverse special education needs.
Responsibilities include managing caseloads within Special Education classrooms, Inclusion, Resource, and Autism settings. Teachers will develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored for students with mild to moderate disabilities across K-12 grades. Collaboration with staff and families to create inclusive and supportive learning environments is essential.
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Valid Indiana state license for Mild to Moderate Disabilities K‑12
- Experience working in various Special Education settings, including preschool and elementary levels
- Demonstrated ability to support students in Inclusion, Resource, Autism, and specialized classrooms
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads and collaborate with educational teams
- Commitment to fostering student growth and promoting individualized instruction
