Substitute Teacher
The Substitute Teacher is responsible for supporting student learning across various classroom settings at the Middle School. This includes following lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and ensuring that students are well-supported in their academic and social development.
The employee is a Christian with an authentic and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ in both their professional and personal life with a calling and commitment to Christian education. Educational and Experience Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- 1-3 years of successful classroom management experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Follow and implement lesson plans, supplementing activities when lessons end early.
- Take attendance and supervise students during designated times (lunch, recess, field trips, etc.).
- Enforce school and classroom rules, guiding students in their behavior and social development.
- Provide emotional support and set a positive example for students.
- Assist with supervision during lunch breaks, bathroom visits, hallways, and carline.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned by the administration, as needed.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor work (90% of the time), with some outdoor exposure when moving between classrooms.
- Ability to remain stationary for long periods, especially when using a computer.
- Must be able to move supplies or equipment up to 35 pounds.
- Must assist children for health and safety reasons.
- Work environment may include noise, temperature and humidity changes, and frequent use of computers and monitors.
