Compensation: $16.79/hr without license or degree; $23.06/hr with license or degree

Perf: CPCSC is a Non-PERF District

• Report to supervisor for daily assignment.
• Be professional at all times.
• Follow all school rules, procedures, and district policies.
• Professional attire is expected but is subject to the teaching assignment for the day.
• Assume the duties and roles of the regular classroom teacher.
• Supervise and manage the classroom including student discipline.
• Supervision of student outside of the classroom during the school day as directed by the administration.
• Implementation of lesson plans left by the teacher to maximize academic time and motivate students to be engaged learners.
• Assign tasks and homework according to the daily lesson plan provided.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity level and interests of the students.
• Take all precautions to protect equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Foster a safe and positive classroom environment. Ensure appropriate constant student supervision and assure the health, welfare, and safety of students.
• Report injuries, accidents, and issues to the administration.
• The permanent substitute teacher position may be a single classroom or in a larger space with more than one class depending on the need.

• Possess a Substitute Teacher Permit issued by the Indiana Department of Education or hold a valid Indiana Teachers License.
• Prior experience working with students desired.
• A degree from higher education is preferred but not required. Must meet all Clark-Pleasant employee eligibility criteria.
