Job DescriptionYou will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and the Center Physician for medical issues. The role requires familiarity with plasma collection regulations and adherence to SOPs, including emergency response, vaccination programs, and EHS guidance.
Howyou will contribute
- Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, conduct medical history interviews, and perform physical examinations and blood testing.
- Assess donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and coordinate transport to emergency care as needed.
- Consult the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation requirements with occupational health/EHS.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and investigate local pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a graduate credential from a recognized nursing program and state licensure.
- Current EMT‑Paramedic license in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state IV therapy requirements.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

U.S. hourly wage range: $23.85 – $32.79. The actual hourly wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location. U.S. employees may also be eligible for short‑term incentives, 401(k) plan and match, medical, dental, vision, disability, and other benefits.
