Supply Chain Apprentice

This role is a great way to jump‑start your career right after high school. As a Supply Chain Apprentice, you’ll learn how products move through a company from when they arrive to when they’re shipped out while gaining hands‑on experience in a professional environment.

This apprenticeship is built to help you grow both professionally and academically. You’ll split your time between working at Wurth Industry and taking classes at Ivy Tech Community College, following a consistent schedule of three days at work and two days in school.

As you progress, you’ll apply what you’re learning in class directly to your day‑to‑day work. Over time, you’ll develop technical knowledge in supply chain and important workplace skills like communication, problem‑solving, and time management.

• Gain hands‑on experience in a real work setting
• Build a strong understanding of warehouse and supply chain operations
• Earn an Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain Management (paid by the company)
• Receive industry‑recognised certifications

• Track and organise inventory using technology
• Assist with receiving and shipping products
• Keep work areas organised and run efficiently
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Learn to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts (training provided)
• Support quality checks and follow safety guidelines
• Help solve everyday challenges such as inventory issues or shipment delays

• Dependable and willing to take initiative

• Organised and able to manage time
• Comfortable working with others as part of a team
• Focused on doing things safely and accurately

• High school diploma
• Maintain a 3.0 GPA while completing college coursework
• Willingness to learn on the job and in the classroom
• Can lift up to 80 pounds (frequent lifting of 40–60 pounds)
• Able to be on your feet and moving throughout the workday
• Basic computer skills
