The CNC Value Stream/ Production Manager is responsible for the overall direction and performance of the CNC Department, including operators, team leads and programmers, with regard to training and providing the highest quality products and resources for the company.
What You’ll Do- Sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to assure the quality of parts produced. Coordinates production to meet schedules and ensures company policies and procedures are followed, with emphasis on safety, quality and maintenance of equipment.
- Oversees and ensures proper maintenance and care of all CNC tooling and fixtures.
- Works closely with the CNC Programmer to foster teamwork and ensure correctness and accuracy of CNC programs. Communicates programming changes or modifications to the CNC Programmer and updates the appropriate files accordingly.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Is responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of non-exempt operators, programmers and team leads.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- At least 5 or more years of CNC experience
- Technical certificate or 2 year college degree preferred
- Prior leadership/supervisory experience preferred
