Welder Primary

Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform welding operations in the manufacturing process of skylight component parts according to production standards and plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

Performs the set-up and troubleshoots welding machine

Tig welds aluminum component parts

Reads and follows a daily production plan Performs other duties such as product assembly, inventory, etc.

Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met Performs cleaning and maintaining of 5’s practices

Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision

Hourly Pay Rate: $ 23.77 - $27.28

Shift

Schedule:

1st shift 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED is preferred

Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position

Welding experience is required/Certification is preferred

Understanding of metric and standard measurement systems is required3-5 years experience in a production environment

Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed, with short notice

Forklift operator experience preferred

Must be able to (but not limited to) tig weld aluminum components as thin as .027”Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to work in hot conditions

Must be able to use hand and power tools such as grinders, port-bands, and chop saws

The desire and ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through a positive quality, safety, attendance and good work history

Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
