Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the treatment and care of surgical patients across pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative phases. The RN works collaboratively within the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care. This role reports directly to the Director of Nursing and does not supervise other staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care during pre‑surgical, operative, and recovery periods
- Collaborate daily with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to coordinate care
- Administer medications and monitor patient symptoms
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, recovery expectations, and post‑surgical care
- Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families
- Adhere to ASC standards of care, state nurse practice regulations, and compliance protocols
- Maintain infection control standards and medication safety procedures
- Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
- ASN or BSN degree
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Indiana
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire)
- 1+ year of operating room or surgical experience
- Hospital‑based clinical exposure
New graduates with relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
