Full-time, 36 hours per week, three 12 hour weekday shifts from 5:30 am – 6:00 pm with rotating weekdays off, minimal call, and the hospital is closed on the six major holidays each year. Full benefits included.

Ortho Indy Hospital South, located in Greenwood, Indiana, provides outpatient and inpatient care, with four operating rooms and a 15‑bed inpatient unit for patients undergoing more invasive procedures such as disc replacement, spinal fusion or total hip and knee joint replacement. Other services include an urgent care, clinics, imaging and physical therapy.
General Statement of Duties- Monitors and assesses patient condition and reports any unusual symptoms, occurrences or discrepancies to manager and appropriate physicians.
- Completes treatments and procedures as ordered and assigned by the physician, consistent with patient complexity and commensurate with the skill, knowledge, and training of the individual.
- Provides care safely, with adequate quality, quantity, and timeliness and according to applicable standards.
- Admits patients to all areas within pre and post‑operative and post‑anesthesia services, and receives and reviews pre‑operative report.
- Sets up, operates and monitors the use of various systems, equipment and instrumentation required for the care of patients.
- Reviews and initiates physician’s orders, administers medication, parenteral fluids and treatment as needed.
- Provides instruction, information, and counseling to patients and their families as needed. Distributes educational material as appropriate.
- Maintains medication and nursing documentation within the patient record.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and development levels of patients served.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred from a nationally accredited nursing program. - 2–4 years Registered Nurse experience in PACU, ICU or ER required; 4–6 years preferred.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana required.
- BLS, ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
