Quality Assurance Technician
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our client's, an ingredient manufacturer, team. The Quality Assurance Technician will support daily quality operations by performing routine QA testing on finished products, documenting results, conducting sensory evaluations, and maintaining quality records. This role will also support laboratory operations through sample collection, inventory management, and adherence to food safety and manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine QA testing on finished products and accurately document results in DEACOM.
- Conduct sensory evaluations for all flavors produced and communicate any deviations from specifications to QA staff.
- Collect microbiological samples and requested samples for laboratory testing.
- Scan and maintain organic batch tickets and quality documentation in designated files.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and prepare control samples for upcoming production needs.
- Learn and perform new QA testing methods as required.
- Support other QA technicians and assist with additional quality-related tasks as needed.
- Prepare and send pre-shipment samples to customers upon request.
- Follow all GMP, food safety, and quality standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within food manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of food science principles, food safety regulations, and quality control practices.
- Experience with sensory evaluation, microbiological plating, calibration equipment, and laboratory testing methods preferred.
- Familiarity with Brix, pH, and water activity testing equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical data and accurately maintain documentation.
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
