Low Voltage Technician

As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for pulling in copper and supporting strand cabling, performing some utility locating, and assisting with projects across the Indianapolis area and various cities in Indiana.

• Pull and terminate copper and strand cabling.
• Assist in utility locating.
• Participate in Kroger projects across different cities in Indiana.
• Perform cable splicing and pulling.
• Handle terminations and Klose splicing.
• Conduct trenching, splicing, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV installations.

• Experience with low voltage installations.
• Proficiency in wiring and cable installation.
• Knowledge of CAT5/CAT6, structure cabling, and cable splicing.
• Ability to use power tools and handle construction labor tasks.

• Some experience in access control is beneficial.
• Experience in concrete and construction is advantageous.

Work both indoors and outdoors, experiencing hot summers and cold winters. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with flexibility required to accommodate customer schedules. Approximately 20% of work is off-shift, with an on-call team that rotates. Travel may be required, with a per diem of $150 per night for hotel and food expenses.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
