Job Summary

At National Trade Supply, the Fulfillment Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations across inbound, outbound, inventory flow, and daily floor leadership. This versatile role goes beyond a single functional lane — providing holistic support across the fulfillment lifecycle, from receiving and putaway to picking, packing, shipping, and returns processing.

The Fulfillment Supervisor leads a team of associates, maintains strong cross-department communication, and drives continuous improvement across all workflows. This role requires a hands‑on leader who embodies NT Supply’s Core Values — Grit, Bias for Action, Critical Thinking, Self‑Awareness, and Operational Excellence — while fostering a reliable, high‑energy, and safety‑focused culture.

Key Responsibilities Leadership, Management, and Accountability
  • Select, train, coach, and mentor associates across inbound, outbound, inventory control, and returns workflows.
  • Foster a positive, high‑energy team environment aligned with NT Supply’s Core Values.
  • Provide real‑time coaching, performance feedback, and recognition.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and proactive communication across shifts and departments.
Inbound Operations Management Receiving
  • Oversee receiving operations to ensure timely unloading, inspection, and documentation of all inbound shipments.
  • Validate incoming goods against purchase orders; accelerate discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate dock schedules to minimize congestion and ensure smooth inbound flow.
Putaway & Inventory Flow
  • Direct efficient and accurate putaway of materials into designated storage locations.
  • Maintain FIFO/FEFO compliance and support location accuracy.
  • Partner with Inventory Control on cycle counts, root‑cause reviews, and shrink reduction.
Returns (Reverse Logistics)
  • Oversee the receiving, sorting, and disposition of customer returns (restock, refurbish, scrap).
  • Track trends and communicate insights that may signal product, packaging, or quality opportunities.
Outbound Operations Management
  • Oversee picking, packing, shipping, and order verification activities to ensure accuracy, quality, and on‑time fulfillment.
  • Allocate labor to balance workload, reduce bottlenecks, and sustain consistent flow.
  • Ensure SOPs are followed, updated, and continuously improved for efficiency and clarity.
  • Monitor key outbound KPIs: order accuracy, on‑time shipment, productivity, error rates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Inventory, Receiving, Procurement, Customer Service, and CX to resolve operational issues and keep orders moving smoothly.
  • Communicate exceptions, delays, and product issues proactively.
  • Coordinate with leadership during peak periods to ensure adequate staffing, resource planning, and workflow alignment.
Safety & Compliance
  • Model and enforce all safety standards; identify hazards and act immediately to correct them.
  • Conduct routine safety checks and participate in investigations and corrective actions.
  • Promote a “Safety First” culture through consistent communication and accountability.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify inefficiencies across inbound and outbound operations and lead improvement initiatives using Lean and root‑cause analysis.
  • Recommend and implement changes that improve accuracy, throughput, quality, and associate engagement.
  • Use data to support decision‑making and set measurable goals for improvement.
The Outcome We Are Seeking

To succeed in this role, the Fulfillment Supervisor should ensure that every stage of the warehouse fulfillment lifecycle — inbound receiving, putaway, inventory flow, picking, packing, shipping, and returns — runs smoothly, accurately, and efficiently every day. This role should strengthen operational reliability by building a coordinated, well‑trained team that moves product through the building with consistency, accuracy, and speed.

Performance will be measured by:
  • On‑Time Receiving Completion — inbound shipments processed accurately within established time targets.
  • Putaway & Inventory Accuracy — correct location assignment, FIFO/FEFO accuracy, and cycle count…
