The Warehouse Operations Trainer is responsible for delivering structured, end-to-end training across warehouse functions including Inbound, Outbound, Picking, Value-Added Services (VAS), and Inventory processes. This role ensures employees are trained through a structured methodology — Train → Hands-On Practice → Verify → Validate — to achieve safety, quality, and productivity standards. The Trainer partners with Operations to drive consistent process execution and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Design and deliver structured training programs covering inbound receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, VAS tasks, and inventory control.
- Execute hands‑on floor training including WMS/RF scanning and material handling equipment guidance.
- Demonstrate full end-to-end warehouse workflows from receipt to shipment.
- Verify employee competency through skills assessments, productivity tracking, and quality audits.
- Validate sustained performance through follow‑up evaluations (30/60/90‑day reviews).
- Maintain training documentation, certification records, and SOP updates.
- Support new hire onboarding, cross‑training, refresher training, and new process rollouts.
- Always reinforce safety standards and operational compliance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred. - 3+ years warehouse operations experience (Inbound, Outbound, Picking, Inventory).
- 2+ years experience in training, coaching, or lead role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
- Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA familiarity preferred).
Warehouse environment. Incumbent will walk and may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 40 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
