Job DescriptionThe Trièves is a plateau of middle mountain (900 meters average altitude) surrounded by the Vercors mountain range to the west, the foothills of Dévoluy to the south east and the canyons of Drac to the east. Located to the south of the Grenoble metropolitan area, it groups 27 municipalities, including 11 located in the Natural Park of Vercors, and has 10,400 inhabitants.
The Community of Communes of Trièves exercises varied competencies in matters of planning and economic development, agricultural, forestry and tourism, waste management, culture and heritage, sustainable development, school life, actions towards the family, childhood and youth, early childhood, drinking water (for part of the territory), and management of an EHPAD. Context and objectives of the position The Intercommunal Tourism Office of Trièves, which is also the tourism service of the Community of Communes of Trièves, implements a strategy of responsible tourism.
Under the authority and in close liaison with the Director of the tourism service and the Intercommunal Tourism Office of Trièves, the tourism development agent contributes to the quality of the reception and information of visitors at the Maison de Pays. He/she participates in the valorization of the territory, the animation of the local partnership and the coordination of the network of Tourist Information Points of the territory.
In his/her daily missions, the agent embodies the values of the Tourism Office: mutual aid, sharing, benevolence and pride of belonging to the territory. He/she contributes to creating a positive experience for visitors, partners, inhabitants and team members, in a collective spirit, of cooperation and public service.
Profile sought – Required qualities
• Dynamic, rigorous, having a sense of contact. Good presentation required
• Sense of teamwork
• Autonomy and initiative
• Experience in the field of tourist reception.
• Good knowledge of the Trièves territory in all seasons
• Good mastery of computer tools and administrative rigor
• Mastery of a foreign language would be highly recommended, especially English
• Knowledge of the APIDAE database would be a plus
• Driving license B mandatory
