As a Design Engineer II, you are responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of luxury residential appliance products. This position works cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and product management teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for appliance products
- Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
- Develop product requirements and execute verification & validation test plans
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to improve manufacturability, quality and cost
- Work with suppliers on component development and quality improvements
- Support regulatory, safety, and compliance requirements
- Manage engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
- 3+ years of engineering experience. Appliance, consumer goods or manufacturing environment is a plus
- Experienced with project management techniques/tools and data analysis
- Experienced in 3D CAD/PLM systems. CATIA/Solid Works knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with DFM/DFA
- Knowledge of FMEA, DOE & root cause analysis techniques
- Exposure to CFD, FEA or other simulation tools
