Interim Senior Accountant Resource – QBO Cleanup

A great UHY client is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant Resource – QBO Cleanup
. The ideal candidate will have strong Quick Books Online expertise, extensive account reconciliation and cleanup experience, and the ability to independently stabilize complex accounting records in a fast-paced environment.

The Interim Senior Accountant Resource – QBO Cleanup role is a hybrid, contract position.

• Lead the cleanup and stabilization of complex Quick Books Online accounting records.
• Perform extensive general ledger cleanup and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts.
• Handle reconciliations, duplicate customer and membership records, billing issues, and day-to-day bookkeeping to restore an organized and stable accounting environment.
• Research, identify, and resolve historical accounting discrepancies and incomplete transactions.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Review and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Support multi-entity accounting while ensuring accuracy and consistency across entities.
• Develop and document accounting processes to improve efficiency and maintain clean financial records.
• Work independently to assess accounting issues, prioritize work, and implement solutions with minimal direction.
• Communicate proactively with leadership by asking questions, providing recommendations, and keeping stakeholders informed of project progress.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting accuracy.
• Prepare the accounting function for ongoing monthly accounting support and long-term operational success.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Quick Books Online (QBO), including complex cleanup and reconciliation projects.
• Proven experience performing extensive general ledger cleanup and account reconciliations.
• Demonstrated ability to independently untangle and stabilize complex accounting records.
• Experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and multi-entity accounting.
• Service Titan experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
• Ability to work independently in an unstructured or evolving accounting environment with minimal supervision.
• Proactive, consultative mindset with the confidence to ask questions, identify issues, and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
