Position Summary

W&G Construction Co. is seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager (PM) to lead the planning and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The PM is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery with the goal of exceeding client expectations and delivering exceptional facilities on schedule and within budget. The Project Manager will work closely with Superintendents, trade partners, design teams, and clients to ensure seamless communication, cost control, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the project team in planning, scheduling, and executing all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project schedules and budgets to meet contractual requirements and achieve on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee selection, coordination, and performance of subcontractors, vendors, and consultants, including contracts, purchase orders, and buyout processes.
  • Manage project financials, including cost tracking, progress billing, change orders, and overall project profitability.
  • Assess project risks and establish contingency plans to mitigate potential issues, resolving problems with collaborative, win-win solutions.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment and project success.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, support field supervision, and address issues promptly.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, progress reports, closeout packages, and record drawings, using Procore or other PM software.
  • Participate in preconstruction activities such as estimating, bidding, value engineering, and proposal preparation to support project acquisition and planning.
  • Lead project meetings, including bi-weekly job site meetings, to review progress, address challenges, and coordinate stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, municipalities, and internal teams to support company growth and reputation for excellence.
  • Demonstrate professional integrity, credibility, and commitment to continuous improvement while ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to company standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial construction project management or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
