This position is responsible for managing budgets within the College of Humanities, Arts, & Social Sciences. The role oversees course fees, operational budgets, Lander Foundation accounts, and external grant budgets under the direction of the Dean, Associate Dean, and Department Chairs. This individual will collaborate closely with the Associate Dean on matters related to academic assessment and curricular development, ensuring alignment with college goals and institutional standards.
A high school diploma and directly related work experience in the area of employment are required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics.
Office management skills and computer skills in use of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and knowledge of accounting/purchasing and tracking procedures is essential. Math skills for statistical analyses, budget management and inventory control is essential. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Lander's Business Office and Procurement Office; faculty, staff, and students; and outside agencies is key. Leadership skills and the ability to train clerical staff and student workers is preferred.
Excellent word processing skills needed for creation and review of reports for Dept Chairs and Dean.
