Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for an Accounting professional for a position in Greenwood, South Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. The role requires someone with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.

- Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

- Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring deadlines are met.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and create detailed reports.

- Reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy and transparency in financial transactions.

- Contribute to budgeting processes by reviewing financial data and providing insights.

- Calculate and manage depreciation schedules for fixed assets

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on accuracy and detail.

- Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and journal entries.

- Expertise in performing bank reconciliations and month-end close activities.

- Strong skills in account reconciliation and ensuring data accuracy.

- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial planning.

- Understanding of depreciation calculations and asset management.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
