Responsibilities
- Performs custodial, housekeeping duties to keep buildings in a clean and orderly condition.
- Cleans offices, rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, elevators and stairways.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
- Vacuums rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture.
- Disposes of trash and waste.
- Cleaning experience required.
- Commercial cleaning experience and Work Ready SC Career Readiness Certificate is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.
- Strong customer service skills and strong ethics.
- Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
- Must be physically able to work off of a ladder, carry mop and bucket up and down stairs.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machine, wet vacuum, shampoo machine, and carpet vacuum.
- Must have ability to interact regularly with students and University personnel.
