About the PositionBurton Center is looking for a part‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Residential Program in Greenwood, SC. The role is part‑time (24 hours every other week) on a rotating weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday, 6 am–6 pm). The LPN will support residents in two Intermediate Care Facilities, focusing on health maintenance, prevention of illness and accidents, and medication administration.
In partnership with the Director of Nursing, Operations Directors, primary care physicians, and families, you will support individuals by teaching medication self‑administration, documenting all medications, conducting annual developmental assessments, monitoring laboratory work, advocating for wellness checks, and attending meetings to review psychotropic drug reports.
Key responsibilities include maintaining monthly wellness reports, ensuring up‑to‑date medication supplies, inspecting living areas for safety, and providing direct support during emergencies and hospital visits.
Qualifications- Nursing degree from an accredited school
- Valid SC Driver’s License
- One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Current SC Board of Nursing License
- Clear oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally

OrientationAll newly hired Burton Center staff must complete a mandatory in‐person orientation, Med Tech training, and all assigned online training prior to on‐the‐job training. Orientation is held once a month, over three days, from 9‐am‐∓ 5‐pm.
