Job Summary

Support the establishment and ongoing research activities of the laboratory of Dr. Jiping Yang. Provide technical support for projects in human genetics and functional genomics, including molecular and cellular biology experiments, cell culture, and data analysis. This position is essential for efficient laboratory operations and advancing the laboratory’s research program.

Support the establishment and ongoing research activities of the laboratory of Dr. Jiping Yang. Provide technical support for projects in human genetics and functional genomics, including molecular and cellular biology experiments, cell culture, and data analysis. This position is essential for efficient laboratory operations and advancing the laboratory’s research program.

40% - Perform molecular biology experiments, including DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, and Western blotting. 20% - Assist the Principal Investigator with research and laboratory activities as needed, including data analysis, laboratory supply ordering, inventory management, and other day-to-day laboratory operations. 40% - Perform cell culture experiments, including cell maintenance, stem cell differentiation, transfection, and transduction.

A high school diploma and work experience in a clinical or research setting.

B.S. Degree in Biology-related field

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
