This employee will perform as a bus driver, safely transporting students from home to school and on field trips, and perform a variety of clerical duties associated with Transportation operations.

• Maintain route schedule
• Supervise students who ride the bus, maintain discipline, and report undisciplined students to the principal/s
• Discharge students only at authorized stops and transport only authorized students
• Assist student passengers with school baggage as needed
• Regulate heating and ventilating systems for passenger comfort
• Comply with local traffic regulations and observe all mandatory safety regulations
• Report delays or accidents
• Clean the interior of the bus regularly
• Inspect bus and check gas, oil, water, brakes, etc., before departure and report any needed repairs

• General knowledge of routine maintenance requirements of buses
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and learn routes
• Be at least 18 years of age with at least six (6) months driving experience and a valid operator's license
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Have or obtain the required Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with "P" and "S" endorsements
• Have no STOP entry appearing on driving record
• Maintain a good driving record

Employee is required to perform tasks such as using hands to handle, reaching with arms and legs, driving vehicle pedals, and communicating. The employee must have full range of vision. On occasion, the employee is required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste or smell.
