Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Hours:

Approximately 40 hours per week; occasional overtime may be required

We are seeking a dependable Porter – Shop Maintenance professional to support daily operations in an automotive shop environment. This position is responsible for moving vehicles to and from designated work areas, maintaining a clean and organized shop, assisting technicians with tools and parts, and preparing completed vehicles for delivery. The ideal candidate has at least one year of automotive or vehicle-related experience, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.

• Retrieve vehicles from designated parking areas and move them to the shop for service or body work.
• Move completed vehicles from the shop to designated parking areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
• Sweep floors, empty trash, and perform general shop cleaning.
• Retrieve tools, equipment, and parts for technicians.
• Assist automotive/body technicians with various tasks as needed.
• Perform basic vehicle preparation and support activities.
• Align headlights when needed.
• Wash completed vehicles and prepare them for customer delivery or internal processing.
• Vacuum vehicle interiors and clean interior surfaces.
• Follow established safety procedures and workplace organization standards.
• Follow standard work procedures and support continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of automotive or vehicle-related experience required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Basic knowledge of proper vehicle cleaning and detailing practices.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver vehicles.
• Ability to work effectively in an automotive shop environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule.

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Regular operation and movement of motor vehicles.
• Ability to work in a shop environment for extended periods.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions while moving vehicles.
• Occasional use of non-toxic cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow all required workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
